More Change to Deposit

Well, I've collected far more then $10 recently. Some of it is in change, collected using the regular method, and the rest is birthday money. My grandmother gave my $50 for my birthday, so I will be putting that money away in the bank as soon as possible. I have to count it all first though. I think I may have about $70 total in cold hard cash. But as they say, never count your chickens before they're hatched. So, today I'll just count my money (the bank is closed anyways because it's Sunday) and then tomorrow I'll be putting it all in the bank after work. One thing I've noticed after getting a "windfall" is the urge to spend. I can tell that the money's burning a hole in my pocket, but my brother is taking my car today so I have no means of transportation. That's good news because it's removing temptation. Plus I've already gone shopping earlier for groceries. My husband just got paid this weekend, so he paid for what we needed. That should help cut down on the urge. Just looking at my fridge and pantry full of food eases my desire enough for me to feel satisfied. I think whenever I do feel the urge to shop, I'll just look at all that I have. The closet full of clothes, the case full of makeup, and the pantry and fridge full of food. That should help keep temptation to spend at bay. Plus, the thought of putting more into that bank account rather than less makes "going without" all worthwhile.
